very very pricy...Although delicious, I am not sure if the food worth its price though.

The umami and richness was modest and did not have a habit or smell, and it was soft, but it had a lot of bones left and it was hard to eat.The sauce was thin and elegant with a clear soy sauce taste. It is a quaint store, but it is crowded with customers. It wasn't enough to enjoy the atmosphere.

This is a very old historic eel restaurant from 1856. This is the best eel meal I had. Those skillful cookers are using traditional way to grill eel. Very tasty. Unbelievable good. You must try one time.

I hope it doesn't get any higher, but it's a superb eel bowl with charcoal scent! It is wonderful to be served with a bowl instead of a heavy one. If you ask for a large serving, it is interesting that it becomes like a UFO bowl. Although the line is always endless at a very popular shop, you can eat really delicious eel rice bowl. Please continue for a long time.

Haven’t had such nicely charred unagi despite numerous visits to Japan across this archipelago. Definitely worth the visit and wait. A small restaurant from the outside with 3 stories and plenty of Japanese seating.

Great great Unagi (eel). Very famous restaurant for charcoal grilled eel with light and smooth teriyaki kind of source. Very fresh, juicy and soft. Never had such delicious Unagi before. It comes with a special soup containing the heart of eels.Traditional house, authentic, well selected eels, professional skills...Staffs are very polite too.Must reserve as you may have to wait for 2 - 2.5 hours in the weekend during the holiday season.Overall, a great restaurant for Japanese traditional grilled eels!!!

Very good unagi restaurant. It opened back in 1860s. A place full of history. The unagi is soft and fresh, one thing to keep in mind is that the bone are pretty sharp, and easy to get trap in throat. And the price is a bit pricy.

Very nice place. Great food and friendly service.English menu supplied and an explanation of the dishes as they arrived.Exactly what I was looking for: Eel, rice, some green tea and a beer. Not cheap, but worth it.

The eel was very good but the pickled veggiess tasted funny. Sake was delicious too. The decor was nice and traditional, they have Tatami mats too. The lady who served us was very nice and talkative to us too. However I saw an old lady worker who was coughing all over the place while serving customers. During this time, I think she should wear a mask or take the day off to prevent getting people sick. Other than that, food was good and everything was about 9,000Â¥ for 2 eel dishes and 1 sake. Would come here again! Highly recommend calling ahead of time and making a reservation as there is a long line outside.

12 minutes walk from "Mishima" station on the JR Tokaido line. 1 minute walk from Izuhakone Railway "Mishima Hirokoji" station. There is an affiliated parking lot. A long-established store founded in 1856, it is a popular eel restaurant in Mishima. We had an early dinner with the group. The store is also elegant and has a calm atmosphere. When I went to Mishima, I stopped by on the way back, but it's worth visiting. I received the eel box and I am very satisfied with it.

one of best Grilled salmon. I think I chose restaurant of such as SOBA, salmon, by friends experience, not advertise, not word of mouth in internet.

When you are in Mishima, you must try their unagi here! The melting ice glacier from Fujiyama blessed this town with pristine water, making it ideal to grow top quality unagi. No muddy smell at all and the cooking style at Unagi Sakuraya is perfected for generations. Smoked just right and unagi melts in your mouth
